There is nothing acceptable about these numbers. They are the direct result of failed leadership by Kris Mayes and Katie Hobbs. Has anyone ever heard either of them explain how they are fixing these problems? Not once. Because it isn’t happening. Kris Mayes regularly highlights prosecutions of private citizens while ignoring government failures and protecting the very agencies that are failing the people they are supposed to serve. Does that make sense to anyone? She is quick to attack individuals but unwilling to hold government accountable when government harms Arizonans. The people are being failed at every level, and these facts make me sick to my stomach. I will not look the other way. I will expose these failures, hold agencies accountable, restore transparency, and fix what is broken. Arizona deserves a government that serves its people—not one that protects itself.
Policy Priorities: Public Safety and Child Welfare

As both a healthcare provider and a business owner, I have firsthand experience with the challenges facing Arizona's professionals, entrepreneurs, and healthcare workers. I don't need a report to tell me what is happening—I see it every day.
Across Arizona, healthcare providers are struggling with delayed reimbursements, denied claims, excessive bureaucracy, rising operating costs, and workforce shortages. Many independent practices and small businesses are being pushed to the breaking point. When providers close their doors, patients lose access to care, communities lose jobs, and Arizona's healthcare system becomes weaker.
Small business owners face similar challenges. They are working harder than ever while navigating inflation, regulations, labor shortages, and increasing costs. Too often, government policies are created by people who have never had to meet a payroll, run a business, or care for patients.
As Governor, I will fight for prompt payment accountability, reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, increase transparency within state agencies, and ensure Arizona remains a place where healthcare providers and small businesses can thrive. Too often, residents become frustrated when they encounter unnecessary delays, poor communication, lack of transparency, or bureaucratic obstacles when seeking assistance from government agencies.

Arizona's children are among our most vulnerable citizens, and protecting them must be one of the state's highest responsibilities. As Governor, I will make reforming the Department of Child Safety a top priority to ensure that every child who comes into contact with the system receives the protection, care, and support they deserve.
When children are at risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or harm, they need a system that responds quickly, effectively, and compassionately. Families, foster parents, caseworkers, and communities deserve confidence that the agency charged with protecting children is operating efficiently, transparently, and in the best interests of those it serves.

The case will now continue through the courts. (12 News) Arizona taxpayers deserve better. Medicaid dollars should be used to care for patients—not to clean up preventable failures or spend years fighting the public in court. We need a Medicaid system that is transparent, accountable, and focused on protecting patients, providers, and taxpayers alike. As Governor, I will reform AHCCCS from the top down by strengthening oversight, increasing accountability, improving fraud prevention, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent on delivering quality healthcare instead of defending systemic failures. BACK-DEAL HANDSHAKES IN GOVERNMENT
Teri Ann Hourihan for AZ Governor. Arizona’s Medicaid system is facing serious challenges, with concerns about fraud, waste, and accountability—both inside and outside the system. The people who suffer the most are the patients who need care and the honest healthcare providers trying to serve them. Across Arizona, healthcare organizations are being heavily scrutinized and investigated, yet many providers feel they have no one advocating for fairness or due process. I have chosen to be that advocate. I once believed that Senator Carine Werner would stand with providers facing these challenges. Based on what I have observed, I have changed my view. I am concerned that political priorities and relationships have created distance between elected officials and the providers who are struggling. It appears that public support has been concentrated around one organization whose focus includes reporting providers while also maintaining relationships connected to multimillion-dollar contracts. Those circumstances deserve transparency and public scrutiny. Arizona deserves a Medicaid system that protects patients, holds bad actors accountable, and treats honest providers fairly. We cannot allow politics or financial interests to outweigh justice and due process. I will continue speaking out because the people of Arizona deserve answers, transparency, and a government that works for them—not for special interests.
AZ Medicaid Internal Corruption?
Teri Ann Hourihan for AZ Governor. The more I examine what has happened in Arizona’s behavioral health system, the more concerned I become that there may be patterns deserving independent investigation. I want to be clear: I am not stating this as fact, because these are just me putting things together and creating questions. Of which, I believe there are serious questions that deserve answers. When behavioral health providers are shut down following complaints, who ultimately benefits? Are complaints always legitimate, or are some being weaponized by competitors? Are large providers with substantial state contracts disproportionately positioned to absorb clients after smaller providers close? Are state agencies investigating every complaint with the same level of scrutiny and due process? The situation involving NewFound Hope has raised additional questions for me. Public reporting documented that the provider was investigated, its operations at a Ramada hotel were scrutinized, and clients were later relocated after the facility ceased operating. Those events are matters of public record. What concerns me is whether there is a broader pattern across Arizona’s behavioral health system that deserves independent review. If providers, nonprofit organizations, government officials, or anyone else are coordinating to eliminate competitors rather than simply protecting patients, that would represent a profound failure of public trust. I am committed to continuing to ask questions, follow the evidence wherever it leads, and advocate for transparency. If there is no coordinated effort, an independent investigation should make that clear. If there is, the public deserves to know. Arizona patients, providers, and taxpayers deserve a behavioral health system built on fairness, accountability, and truth—not politics or favoritism
