Equality, Safety, and Respect for Every Arizonan
As Governor, I will govern for every Arizonan. I believe that every person deserves dignity, respect, equal treatment under the law, and protection from discrimination, harassment, and violence. My administration will work to ensure that all people—regardless of their background, beliefs, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity—are treated fairly and have the opportunity to succeed.
I also believe that public policy should seek practical solutions that protect the rights, safety, and concerns of all groups. On issues involving athletics, I support policies that preserve fair competition while respecting the dignity of every participant. When the sport is not a co-ed sport, the sport will be only for at birth sexual orientation. On issues involving public facilities, I support exploring solutions that maximize privacy, safety, and accessibility for everyone, including the availability of private or additional restroom facilities where feasible. I will not support policy that allows for the inclusion of opposite sexes and genders entering same restroom or locker rooms in public available options. I believe this protects all children, including our trans-youth.
My goal is not to divide Arizonans into competing groups, but to find common-sense solutions that allow people to live, work, and thrive together. I oppose hatred, harassment, and discrimination directed at any group. Every person deserves to feel safe in their community and confident that their government respects their rights.
Arizona is strongest when we treat one another with respect, even when we disagree. As Governor, I will focus on policies that unite our communities, protect individual liberties, promote public safety, and ensure equal treatment for all under the law.
We do not have to choose between fairness and compassion. We can have both. My administration will work every day to build an Arizona where every resident is valued, protected, and given the opportunity to succeed.
